This Friday, May 10, Maurice Guibord, Director of the SHFCB, will be the invited speaker at the AGM of the Langley Historical Society. His presentation, « The Francophones of Langley », will highlight the French-Canadians who had an active role in the fur trade at Fort Langley, including Ovid Allard and his son Jason. As well, settler families such as the Michaud and the Dumais retain tangible references in the city as their houses have been preserved thanks to efforts by the LHS. Francophone businessmen and religious will also be recognized.
